Omg I just checked out the tweets and these are life-changing tweets indeed (without any irony!)
I also appreciate the bit about doing instead of reading, which might be my problem with reading self-help books (the recommended action never catches with to the pace I’m reading). Thanks for sharing Linart!
I’m not normally a big self-help book reader (for the reasons above) but I caught snatches of atomic habits while waiting for my flight in an airport bookstore recently and found this bit stuck in my head— where he says research found “the biggest determinant of making a habit stick was….. how many times you’ve done it before (not planning, intrinsic motivation, scheduling)”. very motivating news for terrible planners like me 😜
Writing has been such a gift to me. The lessons resonated more after publishing this piece. So I'd definitely say the pleasure is mine, but thanks for the kind words Jack!
Yeah! Reading the book actually inspired this essay (and the format was actually inspired by your piece on Paul Graham). Definitely a highly recommended read for me.
Naval is such a gift to humanity. Love that you put this together. Even though its 6 years old, its still gotta be the most valuable tweet storm ever tweeted!

I've been thinking about Naval's ideas for days and I knew I had to write about it sometime. And thus, came this post.
That's a great reflection, Clare. What books have been the most helpful for you?

“Don’t be afraid to do something that doesn’t have a name yet.”
This was great, Linart!
Oh wow, I didn't pay enough attention to that part of the essay. Appreciate you highlighting, Eric!
