Wow. I am honored to be on your thought-journey.

I'll echo what I have said before: such wisdom".

"I can live a difficult life and a blessed life. Both can be true at the same time."

Taking that with me

I still remember an important lesson you taught me, Karena. It's one of the few that I could never forget: "Wanting a better life is different from wanting to become a better person."

Time and time again, I see and realize how it's more important to strive for the latter. I hope you know that my time with you was sprinkled over this piece. Our conversations helped feed my reflections, and helped make this piece possible.

Linart - such wonderful perspective in this essay. Thank you for sharing it with us. The awe and wonder you felt while observing the sunset - I felt as though I was there with you.

And this wisdom is so perfect: “I can live a difficult life and a blessed life. Both can be true at the same time.”

One final perspective back at you. Language shapes the world we live in. My development coach and teacher encourages us to use the word ‘considerations’ in place of the word ‘problems.’ I’ve found that helpful over time as it shapes my relationship in a more positive light with what I’m naming as a ‘problem.’ I’ve even discovered over time that what I was labeling a problem wasn’t actually a problem, but my relationship with it was what needed to be addressed. 😊

James, your kind words never fail to warm my heart. Thank you so much for being here.

I've been thinking about the reframe of the word "problems" to "considerations." I find that to be super smart - and really powerful, too. Let me spend the next few months trying to apply it in my life. Appreciate you being generous enough to share this with me. 🙏
