As someone who just did her first solo trip at a ripe old age, I applaud your independence, Linart.

And that was just my first thought in an essay that continues to punch with value.

I just know that it's your energy that makes those trips possible, Karena. Hoping we get to enjoy more of our travels!

Ah thank you Linart for sharing my essay! And your reflection this week is super interesting - it's something I'll have to give some thought now too!

Always love how your pieces leave a good impression that lasts for a long time (and really makes me reflect), so it was definitely worth sharing!

Loved hearing about your unplanned travels and how your lack of structure made the trip better. I tend to agree... my best travel days are often the ones when I have the least structure. I'm reading the pathless path now too and really enjoyed reading your takeaways. So many good lessons there that are hard to internalize with how we've been conditioned but so important to adopt. Thanks for writing, Linart.

Thanks for leaving a kind comment, Jack. There are upsides and downsides to traveling without a plan; that's for sure. But I generally find it rewarding more often than not. Great to know my book reflections also helped in some way.

A trip to Ormoc sounds nice! I hope it was quiet and restful for you

Thanks, Javier! The 6-hour land travel was exhausting, but my stay in Ormoc was peaceful. Are there places you recommend in the Philippines for a restful vacation?

"it’s possible to have a career that does not involve climbing the corporate ladder in order to be “successful.”"

Thanks for this reminder, Linart. Well, so far, I still don't see myself in the corporate sector haha. So, this makes me hopeful, again haha, that my path will be a meaningful one 😁
